Wind power lamp
Project from 2022
The aim of this exploration was to design a lamp intended for use in a public environment—specifically within the subway system. I selected the subway as my focus due to a growing interest in subway art.
This project seeks to merge art and design in a way that raises awareness about renewable energy sources, particularly wind power. Drawing inspiration from the concept of ecoliteracy—and more specifically, the idea of making the invisible visible—I set out to highlight how an unseen natural force like wind can be harnessed to generate electricity. The lamp is designed to illuminate only when activated by wind. In the absence of wind, it remains unlit, serving as a visual metaphor for the dependence of energy production on environmental conditions.
Art Deco–inspired design.
